The Bichon Frisé is a Franco-Belgian breed of small toy dog that was recognised in 1933.  The dogs found early success in Spain and their association with European nobility began in the 13th century, entering the royal courts of Spain, Italy and France.

The Bichon Frisé is affectionate, playful and enjoys socializing with other pets.  They enjoy being the centre of attention.  They are very intelligent and can be independent and strong willed.  They want those around them to be happy, and can adjust well to new surroundings.
